She was born with severe bilateral micropthalmia caused by a goene deletion called OTX2. When she was 2 yrs old when someone would talk she would repeat one word in the sentence. She then abruptly stopped when she was 3. She did start walking at 3 and people told me she would talk again when she wasn't consentrating on walking. That was 2 1/2 years ago and she still isn't talking.

My 2 year old daughter has nystagmus and something as yet undiagnosed (20:360 acuity but good functional vision). We currently live in MA near Perkins and the resources are tremendous. However I will need to move out of state to find a new academic job soon. I am trying to find out what college towns have nearby school districts with good support for VI children.

He does not have an issue falling asleep. He does this regardless of the time he goes to bed at night. We even tried having him sleep downstairs in case a noise was waking him in his room and still 3:30 wake up call. Any different ideas/suggestions?

He is scared by "celebration" sounds like "horray!" "Yeeeaaahhh!" And "wheeee". Also scared of cow mooing and snake hissing sounds.

when she was a baby and toddler, she had a conformer in her eye, but her muscle kept pushing it out, and so the would stitch it in but it would keep coming out. to make a long story short, they stopped putting them in. She is 13 now and wants a prosthetic eye. Does anyone know a Doctor that is skilled in this area and can help her? thank you
