Rick Guidotti, co-founder of Positive Exposure, will be giving a talk and presenting a slide show of his photographs at the Perkins School for the blind on May 20, 2009 at 10:30 am in the Hilton Building Auditorium.
Rick’s work challenges our concept of beauty and highlights the richness in our genetic diversity. Most of Rick’s subjects have special needs, but Rick wants us to see past their diagnoses and focus on their personalities instead.

The killings of Albinos have been a big issue of concern to most grassroots community people and hence needs a comprehensive community based multisectoral response strategy that will spark a bottom up movement that will retard and at last bring to a total distinction an immoral, illegal and inhuman activity that not only goes against various faith and believes of many Tanzanians but strongly violates the constitution of this country as well as well as several human rights as stipulated in several human rights charters of which Tanzania is a signatory.
As a Kick off and an Icebreaker our Message for this particular event will be “KILLINGS OF ALBINOS IN TANZANIA – TIME TO TAKE ACTION”. Our Chief Guest will be Honourable District Commissioner for Arusha.
Our Vision is to see a more meaningful Tanzania where albinos freely enjoys their fundamental right to live, interact, work, lead, prosper with improved access to education, employment, healthcare and whatever meaningful opportunity anyone deserves under this sun.
Our ultimate mission is to get everyone involved until the murders of fellow Tanzanians with albinism stops & we will not rest until this mission is accomplished.
We at Green Hope believes that united we stand, divided we fall, All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing!!!.
Your attendance on this particular event will be another step forward in achieving our noble aims, objectives and goals.
This is our first step, the second step will be followed by a regional campaign/public awareness programmes throughout Arusha region, followed by Northern zone (Arusha, Manyara, Kilimanjaro, Tanga) and ultimately the whole of Tanzania.
One thing you have to notice though is that despite the fact that I personally have known you for the past nine or ten month through your last visit to Tanzania, for which I so much struggled to meet you it was not until yesterday that I noted that you have an office in Dar Es Salaam.
Finally I may wish to ask you some few questions:
1. Will you be interested to attend this noble event?
2. Will you be interested to speak?
3. If yes, Should we organise accommodation for you?.
Hope you will find this event of crucial importance to our endeavours and hence be able to attend.
I will look forward your immediate response on this and remain yours sincerely,
Emmanuel Makongoro.
