Retinal microchip

Trials for the retinal microchip, often referred to as the “bionic eye” in the media, are moving fast. Peter Lane from Manchester, England recently had the microchip implanted as part of the ongoing research and he reports improved eye sight after being blind for over thirty years.

Peter Lane is diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a genetic disease causing retinal degeneration, making him a perfect candidate for the microchip.
