Canadian Hockey Player Raises Money for Blind Athletes

Mark DeMontis lost his sight at the age of seventeen due to Leber's Optic Neuropathy, but was determined to keep playing the sport he loves: Hockey.

He is now in-line skating across Canada, from Toronto to Vancouver, to raise awareness and money for visually impaired kids. He wants to encourage kids, no matter what their abilities, to keep playing sports and to be involved in their communities.

Mark began his trek on June 27th and plans to hit Vancouver by September 12th.
