I wrote about the study going on testing the efficacy of an oral medication designed to treat LCA back in March.
Surprisingly, they're already reporting good news! Apparently three subjects were able to report improvement in visual acuity only seven days after taking the pill!
How exciting!
That does sound promising. My daughter has the RDH12 gene affected with LCA, and we are hopeful that a cure is right around the corner for her as well!
