Ambron Products was formed to create and distribute products that will enhance the lives of the blind and sighted community. The website offers braille and tactile image books, calendars and games for kids. They’re building their library of books and other products centered mostly on young children.
One product offered, the book I Am a Crayon, What Color Am I?, is a fun and creative way for blind kids to learn about color through common objects. The pictures are all raised line graphics so the child can feel the crayon, the elephant and mouse on the “gray” page, and so on. The books are written by one of the founders.
You can also find accessible games including “Quiddler” with braille. Hopefully they’ll be adding more products soon, as it seems like another great resource for kids who are blind!
